Connect a patio, path and doorway in one plan

The Delaware collection includes decorative surfaces, stamped borders and a broom-finished walkway. Compare how a border frames a space, then consider how people would reach that space from your own back door or driveway. A patio plan is easier to discuss when it shows the route into the yard as well as the seating area.

For a recently purchased home, record what already exists before planning additions. Photograph door thresholds, landings and adjoining concrete, and point out any areas that concern you after rain. Bring available property or builder drawings to the discussion without assuming that a standard online patio layout will fit your site.

Questions before your estimate

Can the Delaware photos help me choose a finish?

Yes. Use them to identify a surface, border or layout you like. The proposed finish and arrangement still need to be discussed for your own project.

What if a new patio needs to connect to a walkway?

Include both areas in your sketch and photograph the existing connection. That gives a clearer starting point than a close-up of either surface by itself.
