What to Send With a Concrete Quote Request in Central Ohio

Share the right photos, measurements and project details when requesting a concrete quote. A practical checklist for Central Ohio homeowners.

You do not need construction drawings to begin a conversation about a residential concrete project. You do need enough information to explain what you want changed and where the work will happen.

Whether you are planning a patio, driveway, walkway or garage floor in Central Ohio, a clear request helps a contractor identify what can be discussed right away and what needs an on-site review.

Start with the project and location

State the type of work and your city or ZIP code. Explain whether you want new concrete, an extension or replacement of an existing surface. For a garage floor, say whether the building is already there and how you intend to use the space.

Your full project address may be needed to arrange a visit or confirm site details. Share that through the contractor's contact process rather than in a public comment.

Send wide photos and close-ups

A wide view explains the layout. A close-up can show an edge, surface condition or transition that concerns you. Include the path from the driveway or street to the work area so access is visible.

For replacement work, photograph the existing surface from more than one direction. For a patio, include the back door and nearby yard. For steps, include the whole entry and a side view.

Give approximate dimensions honestly

Length and width are useful starting points. Label them as approximate unless they have been verified. If the shape is irregular, a simple sketch can explain it better than one overall measurement.

You can also say that you do not know the size yet. A measurement supplied with confidence but guessed inaccurately can create confusion later.

Explain preferences and practical constraints

Mention a preferred finish, whether existing concrete needs removal, known access restrictions and your desired timing. Describe any drainage concern or adjoining surface that needs attention.

If you have inspiration photos, distinguish those from photos of your own property. They communicate a design preference; they do not establish that the same layout or finish will suit your site.

Know what happens when you press the button

Some contact forms submit information directly. Others open an email draft that you still need to send. Read the confirmation and keep a copy of the request. If your email application does not open, use the listed text or phone contact instead.

A preliminary conversation is not the same as an agreed construction scope. Before accepting a proposal, make sure you understand the included work, exclusions and next steps.
